Description
Description
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum for Xbox Series X and Xbox One offers a unique perspective on Middle-earth, putting players in control of one of J.R.R. Tolkien’s most complex characters. Set before the events of The Lord of the Rings, the game follows Gollum’s desperate quest to reclaim the One Ring, navigating treacherous landscapes and shadowy strongholds. Torn between his two personalities—cunning Gollum and fragile Sméagol—players must make choices that influence how the story unfolds and how others perceive him.
Gameplay emphasizes stealth, agility, and resourcefulness rather than brute force. Players sneak past orcs, giant spiders, and other dangers while climbing, leaping, and solving environmental puzzles across vast areas like Mordor and Mirkwood. The moral tug-of-war between Gollum and Sméagol adds a psychological layer, affecting decisions and shaping the narrative. With detailed environments, atmospheric storytelling, and a focus on character-driven gameplay, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum offers a fresh take on Tolkien’s world, appealing to fans who enjoy stealth adventures and lore-rich tales.
