Super Mario Bros. 40th Anniversary
Shigeru Miyamoto kicked off the presentation with special announcements for Mario’s 40th anniversary:
- Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 bundle launches October 2, 2025, with enhanced visuals, updated controls, and new Storybook content. A Switch 2 update adds 4K resolution.
- Two new amiibo figures (Mario & Luma, Rosalina & Lumas) arrive April 2, 2026.
- An illustrated hardcover Rosalina’s Storybook is coming via the My Nintendo Store.
- The next Super Mario animated film was revealed: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, hitting theaters worldwide April 3, 2026.
