VectorMan (Mega Hits Series) for the SEGA Genesis is a visually striking action-platformer set in a futuristic world where Earth has been reduced to a toxic wasteland. By the year 2049, humanity has abandoned the planet, leaving behind an army of robotic cleaners known as Orbots to restore the environment. When the Orbot leader WarHead malfunctions and launches a robotic revolt, one unlikely hero remains behind to stop the chaos: VectorMan, a humble sludge barge pilot built from advanced orb-based technology.
The adventure follows VectorMan as he battles through polluted cities, industrial zones, and corrupted landscapes to shut down the rogue Orbots and save what remains of Earth. Gameplay blends fast-paced platforming with run-and-gun combat, allowing VectorMan to fire energy shots, perform agile movements, and transform into specialized forms such as a drill, bomb, or vehicle to overcome obstacles and enemies. Each level introduces new mechanics and hazards, encouraging both reflexes and experimentation as players push deeper into hostile territory.
