Spider-Man: Friend or Foe for PlayStation 2 takes a unique approach to the Marvel universe by teaming Spider-Man with both his allies and former enemies in a cooperative action-adventure. After a mysterious threat begins creating dangerous symbiote-controlled creatures, Spider-Man must join forces with heroes like Iron Fist and Blade as well as iconic villains such as Venom, Green Goblin, and Doctor Octopus. Together, they travel across the globe to stop the new menace and uncover the truth behind the invasion.
The game combines beat-’em-up combat with light platforming and puzzle-solving, offering a family-friendly take on Spider-Man gameplay. Players can switch between Spider-Man and a partner character, each with unique moves and abilities, or enjoy two-player co-op for shared action. Levels are set in diverse locations including Tokyo, Egypt, and Transylvania, each with its own style and enemies.
