The story follows Isaac Clarke, an engineer sent to repair the ship, only to discover it overrun by horrifying creatures known as Necromorphs. Alone and cut off from help, Isaac must battle these monsters while uncovering the truth behind the outbreak and the mysterious alien artifact called the Marker.
The game’s combat is built around the innovative “strategic dismemberment” system, which requires players to target and sever enemy limbs rather than rely on traditional headshots. Armed with repurposed engineering tools like the Plasma Cutter, Line Gun, and Ripper, Isaac must conserve ammo and think strategically to survive. The eerie atmosphere is heightened by zero-gravity segments, limited resources, and chilling sound design that keeps tension high at every turn.
