Beyond Good & Evil for the Nintendo GameCube is a story-driven action-adventure set on the planet Hillys, a world under constant attack by a mysterious alien force known as the DomZ. Play as Jade, a photographer and caretaker who becomes involved with an underground resistance movement after discovering evidence that the planet's supposed protectors may be hiding a dangerous secret.
Explore colorful towns, waterways, factories, military installations, and other environments while combining exploration, stealth, puzzle-solving, photography, and combat. Jade uses her camera to document wildlife and gather evidence, earning credits that can help fund her investigation. When confrontation is unavoidable, she can defend herself with her Daï-jo staff and work alongside companions to overcome enemies and environmental obstacles. Jade's hovercraft also provides transportation across Hillys and can be upgraded as the adventure progresses.
