Call of Duty 3 - Wii is a World War II first-person shooter focused on the Allied campaign through Normandy following the D-Day landings. The story follows American, British, Canadian, and Polish soldiers as they fight through occupied France, giving players several perspectives on the push toward the Falaise Gap and the liberation of Western Europe.
The Wii version adapts the series’ infantry combat to motion-based controls, using the Wii Remote for aiming and the Nunchuk for movement and other actions. Players fight through villages, fields, trenches, and ruined towns while using period weapons, taking part in vehicle sections, and navigating large scripted battles alongside allied troops. The campaign emphasizes fast-paced combat, close-quarters encounters, and cinematic battlefield sequences.
Developed by Treyarch and published by Activision in 2006, Call of Duty 3 was one of the earliest first-person shooters released for the Nintendo Wii.
