Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Xbox 360 is a first-person shooter that continues the Black Ops storyline across two connected time periods. Players follow Alex Mason and Frank Woods during Cold War-era missions while also taking control of David Mason in 2025 as he pursues the influential terrorist Raul Menendez and confronts a new generation of military technology.
Gameplay combines cinematic campaign missions with competitive multiplayer and the popular Zombies mode. The campaign introduces branching choices and optional Strike Force missions that can influence parts of the story and lead to different outcomes. Multiplayer features customizable loadouts through the Pick 10 system, scorestreak rewards, and a wide selection of weapons and equipment, while Zombies includes cooperative survival gameplay and larger interconnected scenarios.
Developed by Treyarch and published by Activision in 2012, Call of Duty: Black Ops II expanded the series with a near-future setting, player-driven campaign choices, and significant changes to multiplayer customization.
