Call of Duty: Finest Hour - PlayStation 2 brings the World War II action of the Call of Duty series to consoles with an original campaign built specifically for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. The story follows soldiers from the Soviet, British, and American armies across several major fronts of the war, shifting perspectives as each campaign unfolds.
Gameplay combines first-person shooting with large battlefield encounters, squad-based combat, and vehicle sequences. Players fight through ruined cities, fortified positions, trenches, and open battlefields using period weapons such as rifles, submachine guns, machine guns, and explosives. Certain missions also place players inside tanks, adding armored combat to the traditional infantry-focused action.
The campaign moves through locations inspired by major World War II battles, including Stalingrad, North Africa, and the Western Front. Each section introduces different soldiers, objectives, and environments while maintaining the cinematic presentation and intense firefights associated with the series.
