In Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity, the digital world of Lyoko comes to life in a 3D action-platformer that picks up the story from the end of the show’s third season. Players take control of the core Lyoko Warriors—Aelita, Ulrich, Odd, and Yumi—as they navigate the Digital Sea in the Skidbladnir to destroy X.A.N.A.’s "Replikas". Unlike the previous DS game, this version features the characters in their updated Season 4 outfits and emphasizes the rescue of William from X.A.N.A.'s control.
The gameplay revolves around switching between characters in real-time to solve environmental puzzles and defeat X.A.N.A.'s monsters. Each warrior has a specific role: Odd uses his claws for wall-climbing and fires laser arrows, Ulrich utilizes his twin swords and "Super Sprint," Yumi balances on narrow ledges with her Tessen fans, and Aelita uses energy fields and flight to traverse gaps. While the Wii version used motion controls for combat, the PS2 version offers a more traditional button-based experience, which many fans in 2026 prefer for its precision during the game's challenging platforming sections.
