Dark Souls - Xbox 360 is an action role-playing game set in the dark fantasy kingdom of Lordran, a world filled with ancient ruins, cursed warriors, monstrous creatures, and powerful bosses. Players create an undead character and journey through interconnected environments while uncovering the history of the fading Age of Fire and determining their role in the world’s uncertain future.
Gameplay centers on deliberate real-time combat, exploration, character progression, and careful management of stamina, equipment, and healing resources. Players collect souls from defeated enemies to improve attributes and purchase items, but risk losing them upon death unless they can return to the location where they fell. Weapons, armor, magic, covenants, hidden paths, shortcuts, and challenging boss encounters offer a wide range of approaches and encourage repeated exploration.
