Dead to Rights is a third-person action game for the PlayStation 2 that blends gunplay, hand-to-hand combat, and cinematic storytelling. Developed by Namco, the game follows Jack Slate, a tough, no-nonsense police officer operating in the crime-ridden city of Grant City as he uncovers corruption and criminal conspiracies tied to his father’s murder.
Gameplay mixes fast-paced shooting with close-quarters brawling, allowing players to seamlessly transition between firearms and melee combat. One of the game’s defining features is the ability to disarm enemies and use them as human shields, adding a tactical layer to encounters. A unique companion mechanic allows Jack to command his police dog, Shadow, during certain missions.
