Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for the Nintendo Entertainment System is an action game inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novella Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Players assume the role of the respected Dr. Henry Jekyll as he attempts to make his way through the streets of Victorian England. However, mounting stress and danger gradually transform him into the monstrous Mr. Hyde, forcing players to survive two very different gameplay experiences.
As Dr. Jekyll, you'll carefully navigate crowded streets while avoiding aggressive townspeople, mischievous children, stray animals, and other hazards that increase your stress level. If that stress becomes too great, you'll transform into Mr. Hyde and enter a darker version of the world where combat takes center stage. Use Hyde's supernatural attacks to battle grotesque creatures while trying to regain control and return to Dr. Jekyll before progressing through the adventure.
