Final Fantasy II - Super Nintendo

I have played final fantasy 4 which incorrectly was called final fantasy 2 in the USA as the real final fantasy 2 is on NES and later on PS1, GBA, PS4 and switch.

Anyways this game is about a villain named Cecil who's a dark knight who would rather be a good guy instead of committing crimes stealing crystals and hurting people. Cecil has Cain a dragon knight joining him on a journey to deliver a bomb package also known as kain by default journey to the village of mist.

Along the way many characters join and leave your party so you cannot choose your characters like you can in final fantasy 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 13. It's very much like final fantasy 2, 3, 5 and mystic quest. Rydia and Rosa and Cain will leave your party before rejoining you near the end. One character I cannot stand is Edward a coward fighter who is mostly helpless in the fight and I'm glad when he leaves my party. Also I'm kinda sad 2 characters fusoya and Yang will leave my party in place of Cain and edge.

Anyways do not bother leveling up Cecil until he changes from a dark knight into a paladin. Then you'll want to have other party members dead in order to get Cecil leveled up. Especially with the 3 Delta sister magicians in the tower of zot and get him up to level 50 to 60 so that characters rydia, Rosa, Cain will level up with him except for edge who is stuck at level 25.

I like Cecil, Cain as the have strong attacks. I also like edge throwing weapons especially when you can do an item duplicate runaway bug to make copies of weapons which later got patched in later versions.

Rydia and Rosa are weak but rydia has powerful summon attacks including bahamut although meteo takes longer to cast. Rosa is weak but she can cure party members and can't use white or holy spell.

Anyways I like the memorial music with the beautiful harp music. Also they do get to go to the moon. Wait a minute how the heck can golbez, fusoya, Cecil, Cain, edge, rydia, Rosa breath or survive on the moon without astronaut suits? Final fantasy 7 and 8 portrayed a more realistic space.

Also some of the stuff in final fantasy 4 got past the censorship including the use of prayer, scenes involving death and edges monster parents killing themselves.

Anyways there's the super rare item I never bother to get called pink tail since it's not worth my time as I'm near the end of the game. The ending once you beat the final boss is one of the best endings with beautiful music which final fantasy 6, 7, 8, 9 will overshadow.

In conclusion I highly recommend picking up final fantasy 4 on SNES. It's an easy game, although I don't like the slow walking and random encounters but overall buy this SNES cartridge game it's worth your time and money.
