Game Boy Advance SP System - Pearl Blue, AGS-101 is Nintendo’s compact clamshell handheld featuring the improved backlit screen introduced late in the Game Boy Advance era. The folding design protects the display when closed while keeping the familiar directional pad, face buttons, shoulder buttons, and portable controls of the original Game Boy Advance in a smaller form factor.

The AGS-101 revision is especially notable for its brighter backlit LCD, offering improved visibility and color compared with the earlier front-lit AGS-001 model. The system supports Game Boy Advance cartridges as well as most original Game Boy and Game Boy Color games, providing access to multiple generations of Nintendo handheld software. It also uses a built-in rechargeable battery rather than disposable AA batteries and charges through its dedicated power port.

Released by Nintendo in 2005, the AGS-101 model has become one of the most sought-after versions of the Game Boy Advance SP due to its upgraded display. The Pearl Blue finish, backward compatibility, rechargeable design, and bright screen make it an appealing system for Game Boy players and handheld collectors.
