Global Defense for the SEGA Master System is a fast-paced vertical scrolling shoot-'em-up in which Earth's last line of defense takes the fight to an overwhelming alien invasion. Originally released in Japan as SDI: Strategic Defense Initiative, the game places you in command of an advanced defense system tasked with protecting the planet from relentless waves of enemy spacecraft and devastating orbital attacks.
Control a powerful targeting system that moves independently from your weapons, allowing you to strategically eliminate threats across the battlefield. Blast enemy fighters, bombers, satellites, missiles, and massive war machines while collecting power-ups that enhance your firepower and improve your chances of survival. As each stage progresses, increasingly intense enemy formations and challenging boss encounters demand quick reflexes, accurate aiming, and careful prioritization of targets.
