Description
Description
Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits - Nintendo DS brings the rhythm gameplay of Guitar Hero to Nintendo’s handheld with a soundtrack focused on contemporary rock and alternative music. Players work through songs by matching notes to the music, building score multipliers, maintaining streaks, and performing well enough to win over crowds and progress through the game’s career.
Gameplay uses the Guitar Grip accessory, which connects through the Game Boy Advance cartridge slot on an original Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite. Players press the colored fret buttons on the Grip while strumming the touchscreen with a pick-shaped stylus. The game features multiple difficulty levels and performance challenges designed around the portable control setup, giving the familiar Guitar Hero formula a distinctive handheld format.
Developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision in 2009, Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits is the third entry in the Nintendo DS On Tour series. Because the Guitar Grip depends on the Game Boy Advance slot, it is not compatible with Nintendo DSi or Nintendo 3DS systems. Its specialized accessory support and rock-focused soundtrack make it an interesting addition for rhythm-game fans and Nintendo DS collectors.
