Heroes of the Pacific is an action-packed World War II flight combat game that puts players in the cockpit of legendary American fighter aircraft during the Pacific Theater of the war. Developed by IR Gurus and published by Codemasters, the game combines cinematic aerial dogfights with historical battles, allowing players to relive some of the most pivotal moments of the conflict while piloting an impressive roster of authentic military aircraft.
Players assume the role of William Crowe, a young Navy pilot whose military career begins with the attack on Pearl Harbor. From there, you'll fight across the Pacific in an engaging story-driven campaign inspired by real historical events, participating in famous battles including Midway, Guadalcanal, Wake Island, and the Philippine Sea as you help turn the tide of the war.
Pilot more than 35 faithfully recreated aircraft, including iconic fighters and bombers such as the F4F Wildcat, F6F Hellcat, F4U Corsair, P-38 Lightning, P-51 Mustang, B-25 Mitchell, and many others. Each aircraft features distinct flight characteristics and weapon systems, allowing players to choose the right plane for every mission.
Engage in thrilling dogfights, bombing runs, torpedo attacks, carrier takeoffs and landings, and large-scale aerial battles against waves of enemy aircraft, battleships, and ground installations.
