Description
In the 2003 Hulk, you experience a direct narrative sequel to Ang Lee’s Hulk film, picking up the story one year after the movie's conclusion. The game features the voice and likeness of Eric Bana as Bruce Banner, who is lured out of hiding by his former mentor, Professor Crawford, only to be betrayed in a plot involving the villainous Leader. To stop the creation of a gamma-powered army, you must fight through 25 levels spanning San Francisco, Alcatraz, and the Arctic city of Freehold.
The gameplay is famously split into two distinct styles. As the Hulk, the game is a "smash-everything" beat 'em up where nearly every object in the environment—from cars to support beams—can be used as a weapon. You can unleash 45 unique attacks, including the devastating Gamma Clap and Sonic Slam. Conversely, Bruce Banner levels focus on high-stakes stealth and puzzle-solving; since Banner is "puny" compared to his alter-ego, you must navigate guarded facilities by sneaking behind soldiers, hacking security terminals, and hiding in shadows to avoid detection.
