LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy brings the classic LEGO Star Wars formula to the PlayStation Portable, retelling the events of the original film trilogy in a lighthearted, puzzle-driven adventure. Developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by LucasArts, the game adapts A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi into bite-sized missions suited for portable play.
Gameplay combines simple combat, platforming, and environmental puzzles, with players switching between characters to use unique abilities tied to the Star Wars universe. Jedi use the Force to manipulate objects, while other characters rely on tools or special skills to progress. LEGO-style building mechanics return, allowing players to construct objects and unlock new paths.
The PSP version is designed for shorter play sessions while preserving the core experience of the console release. Levels are streamlined to fit the handheld format, and controls are adapted for portability without losing accessibility.
