Metroid Prime: Trilogy - Collector's Edition - Wii brings together Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption in one collection. The trilogy follows bounty hunter Samus Aran across mysterious alien worlds filled with hostile creatures, environmental puzzles, ancient technology, and the dangerous Phazon substance that connects the three adventures.
The Wii release updates the first two Metroid Prime games with motion-based aiming and controls similar to those introduced in Metroid Prime 3. Players explore interconnected environments, scan enemies and objects, acquire new suit abilities and weapons, solve puzzles, and battle large bosses. The collection also retains the multiplayer mode from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and includes unlockable bonus content earned throughout the trilogy.
Developed primarily by Retro Studios and published by Nintendo in 2009, this Collector's Edition release is distinguished by its special metal case packaging and included art booklet.
