Set before the events of the first Mortal Kombat tournament, you play as the original Sub-Zero, an assassin from the Lin Kuei clan. Your mission is to retrieve a sacred amulet for the sinister sorcerer Quan Chi. Your journey will take you through a variety of treacherous environments, where you'll battle familiar Mortal Kombat characters like Scorpion and Sonya Blade, as well as a host of new enemies. The game features a deep combat system that incorporates all of Sub-Zero's special moves, including his signature ice freeze. As you progress, you'll gain experience points that can be used to upgrade your abilities. With its compelling backstory and innovative blend of genres, this game offers a fresh new take on the Mortal Kombat universe.
