You get a clean, low-noise image and flexible connectivity using SNES/N64/GameCube AV cables—ideal for CRTs, professional scalers, or capture devices. We’ve also added a front power LED so it’s clear when the system is on (stock NES-101 units don’t include one).

Expansion audio support is included for compatible Famicom games and flashcarts (e.g., EverDrive), enabling the extra sound chips used by certain titles. Note: expansion audio is not active with standard NES cartridges.

• Tim Worthington NESRGB installed for RGB and S-Video output with dramatically improved clarity over composite.
• SNES Multi-Out added (LaserBear & Voultar) for broad cable compatibility with SNES/N64/GameCube AV leads.
• Expansion audio added via Voultar’s Expansion Audio Board (or equivalent method, depending on parts availability).
• Power LED added to the front panel for clear on/off indication.
• All electrolytic capacitors replaced on the main board and in the RF modulator.
• 7805 voltage regulator replaced for stable, reliable power delivery.
• Ultra-sonic shell cleaning; motherboard dust removal; power, AV, and controller ports and switches cleaned and treated for smooth operation.
