The game famously blends the fast-paced action of a third-person arena fighter with the deep strategy of a collectible card game.
The core loop involves building "Arsenals" (decks) of up to 30 skills, which you take into highly destructible environments. Instead of traditional weapons, you collect orbs during battle to equip offensive blasts, shields, and teleports, all powered by a regenerating Aura gauge. The narrative is surprisingly heavy, exploring themes of isolation and faith, and it culminates in a late-game twist that remains one of the most discussed "mind-blows" in gaming history.
