Pinball - NES is a video pinball game that recreates the fast reactions, ricochets, and score chasing of an arcade pinball machine on the Nintendo Entertainment System. Players use the flippers to keep the ball in play while striking bumpers, targets, and other scoring features across multiple sections of the table.
Gameplay is divided between upper and lower playfields, with the ball moving between areas as players build higher scores and attempt to avoid draining it. A special bonus stage features Mario and Pauline, adding an early Nintendo character appearance to the otherwise traditional pinball action. The simple controls make the game easy to learn, while mastering angles, timing, and table behavior provides a greater challenge for high-score runs.
Developed and published by Nintendo, Pinball was released for the NES in North America in 1985 after first appearing on the Famicom in Japan.
