Rayman 2: The Great Escape - SEGA Dreamcast is a 3D platforming adventure that follows Rayman as he fights to free the Glade of Dreams from the invading Robo-Pirates led by Admiral Razorbeard. After escaping captivity, Rayman travels through forests, caves, ruins, and other colorful environments while rescuing imprisoned creatures and helping restore the world’s magical energy.
Gameplay combines platforming, exploration, combat, swimming, sliding, and puzzle-solving across a series of varied stages. Rayman can fire energy projectiles, swing from special objects, ride creatures and vehicles, and collect Yellow Lums needed to progress through the adventure. The Dreamcast version features enhanced visuals compared with several earlier releases, along with updated character models, smoother presentation, and other platform-specific refinements.
Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft, Rayman 2: The Great Escape was released for the Dreamcast in 2000 after first appearing on other platforms.
