Robot Ponkottsu 64 - Nintendo 64, released in Japan as ロボットポンコッツ64 七つの海のカラメル, is a Japanese role-playing game from the Robopon series. Players explore a colorful world while collecting and developing robotic creatures known as Robopon, building a team to take into battles and progress through the adventure.
Gameplay combines exploration, character interaction, robot collection, customization, and turn-based combat. Different Robopon possess their own abilities and characteristics, allowing players to experiment with party combinations and strengthen their robotic companions as they advance. The Nintendo 64 entry expands the series into a 3D presentation while retaining the monster-collecting and RPG mechanics associated with earlier Robopon games.
Published by Hudson Soft in 1999, Robot Ponkottsu 64: Nanatsu no Umi no Caramel was released exclusively in Japan and features Japanese-language text throughout the game.
