In Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Pandemic Studios (the team that would later create Star Wars: Battlefront) delivers a high-octane vehicular combat experience set in the heart of the conflict between Episode II and III. You lead the Grand Army of the Republic across the galaxy—from the dusty plains of Geonosis to the junk wastes of Raxus Prime—to stop Count Dooku from awakening an ancient Sith superweapon known as the Dark Reaper. While there are on-foot segments where you control Anakin, Obi-Wan, or Mace Windu, the core of the game is spent piloting iconic Republic vehicles like the TX-130S Fighter Tank and the LAAT/i Gunship.
The gameplay is defined by its scale and "squad-command" system, which allows you to issue orders to your fellow clone pilots using the D-pad (Attack, Hold, Follow). The most ambitious feature is Conquest Mode, a multiplayer strategy-lite experience that laid the foundation for the future Battlefront series. In this mode, players must capture neutral bases, build automated defenses, and manage resources in real-time to overwhelm the enemy.
