Stargate for SEGA Genesis is a side-scrolling action platformer based on the science fiction film of the same name. Players step into the role of Colonel Jack O’Neil as he travels through the mysterious Stargate to the distant desert world of Abydos, where an alien ruler known as Ra controls the planet and its people.
The adventure takes players across pyramid structures, desert landscapes, and alien environments filled with guards, traps, and dangerous creatures. Armed with military weapons and equipment, players must battle enemies while navigating obstacles and uncovering the secrets of the alien world.
Throughout the journey, players search for items, solve environmental challenges, and work to overthrow Ra’s rule over Abydos. With its mix of platforming action, sci-fi atmosphere, and locations inspired by the film, Stargate for Genesis brings the interstellar adventure of the Stargate universe to the SEGA Genesis.
