The Outfit - Xbox 360 is a World War II action game that combines third-person shooting with real-time battlefield strategy. Set during the Allied push through occupied Europe, the game follows a squad of American soldiers as they fight German forces across open combat zones filled with infantry, vehicles, artillery, and destructible environments.
Players can directly control one of several soldiers while also calling in reinforcements, tanks, anti-tank guns, machine-gun emplacements, and other battlefield support. Capturing strategic points earns resources that can be used to strengthen a position or bring heavier equipment into the fight. The result is a mix of shooting, vehicle combat, and tactical decision-making rather than a purely linear military shooter.
Developed by Relic Entertainment and published by THQ in 2006, The Outfit was one of the earlier World War II action titles released for the Xbox 360.
