Description
Description
Trover Saves the Universe - PlayStation 4 is a comedic action-adventure from Squanch Games that follows Trover, a reluctant purple creature tasked with helping save the universe from the evil Glorkon. Players take the role of a Chairorpian whose two dogs have been stolen and placed into Glorkon’s eye sockets, giving the villain immense power and setting off a bizarre journey across a collection of strange alien worlds.
Gameplay combines third-person platforming, exploration, puzzles, and combat while players directly control Trover from their character’s seated perspective. Trover gains new abilities throughout the adventure, allowing players to reach new areas, battle unusual enemies, and interact with an eccentric cast of characters. The PlayStation 4 version can be played on a standard display and also supports PlayStation VR for an immersive alternate way to experience the game.
Developed by Squanch Games and published by Gearbox Publishing in 2019, Trover Saves the Universe is known for its improvised dialogue, absurd humor, colorful environments, and unconventional presentation. Its combination of comedy, platforming, action, and optional virtual reality support makes it an appealing choice for players looking for something distinctive in the PlayStation 4 library.
