Description
Description
Twisted Metal 4 - PlayStation is a vehicular combat game built around destructive arena battles, outrageous weapons, and a dark carnival theme. The story centers on Sweet Tooth taking control of the Twisted Metal tournament from Calypso, drawing a new group of drivers into violent contests where the winner is promised a single wish.
Gameplay focuses on driving heavily armed vehicles through enclosed arenas while collecting missiles, mines, special weapons, health pickups, and other power-ups. Each vehicle has different speed, armor, handling, and signature attacks, encouraging players to experiment with different combat styles. The game includes single-player tournament progression, challenge modes, and local multiplayer battles, with arenas featuring hazards, ramps, hidden areas, and interactive elements.
Developed by 989 Studios and published by Sony Computer Entertainment in 1999, Twisted Metal 4 continued the PlayStation series with a larger emphasis on colorful presentation, expanded vehicle selection, and fast arcade-style combat. Its destructive gameplay, distinctive characters, varied arenas, and local multiplayer make it an appealing choice for Twisted Metal fans, vehicular combat enthusiasts, and original PlayStation collectors.
