Wario Land: Shake It! - Wii is a side-scrolling platformer that puts Wario at the center of a treasure-hunting adventure in the Shake Dimension. After learning that the mysterious Shake King has kidnapped Queen Merelda and stolen the Bottomless Coin Sack, Wario sets out to defeat him, rescue the captured Merfles, and claim the valuable treasure for himself.
Gameplay combines traditional platforming with motion-based actions using the Wii Remote. Players can shake enemies and objects, slam the ground, swing from ropes, and interact with environmental elements while searching each stage for hidden treasures and trapped Merfles. Many levels also feature a timed escape sequence after reaching the goal, challenging players to race back through the stage while collecting additional coins and completing optional objectives.
