In X2: Wolverine's Revenge, the X-Men’s most lethal member faces a race against time that predates his movie heroics. Despite the "X2" branding and the presence of Hugh Jackman on the cover, the game is actually a standalone story penned by legendary Marvel writer Larry Hama. The plot follows Logan as he discovers the "Shiva Virus"—a failsafe planted by Weapon X—is active in his bloodstream, giving him only 48 hours to find a cure before his healing factor fails.
The gameplay is a unique hybrid of visceral combat and predatory stealth. While you can unsheathe your claws to shred through soldiers and mutants, the game emphasizes "Wolverine Senses," a vision mode that allows you to see scent trails, heat signatures, and hidden traps. One of the game's greatest draws is its elite voice cast: Mark Hamill (of Joker and Luke Skywalker fame) provides a growling, iconic performance as Wolverine, while Patrick Stewart reprises his role as Professor X to guide you through your missions.
