In this adventure, Yooka (the chameleon) and Laylee (the bat) team up once again to stop the evil Capital B from enslaving an entire kingdom using his "Hive Mind" device. The duo must tackle dozens of handcrafted levels to rescue members of the royal Beetalion, each one granting them an extra hit for the game's ultimate challenge: the titular Impossible Lair.
Each level can be altered in creative ways by interacting with the overworld, unlocking alternate versions that add entirely new hazards and paths.
