Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Quest - SEGA Genesis
Description
Description
Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: Belle’s Quest on the SEGA Genesis is a side-scrolling action-adventure based on the classic animated film. Rather than focusing on combat-heavy gameplay, the game places players in the role of Belle as she explores the Beast’s castle in an effort to save him and break the curse.
Gameplay emphasizes exploration, puzzle-solving, and item collection, with Belle navigating castle halls, libraries, and hidden rooms while avoiding enemies rather than fighting them directly. Objects found throughout the castle are used to solve environmental puzzles and progress through the story. The pace is slower and more deliberate, encouraging careful movement and attention to surroundings.
With its colorful visuals, faithful interpretation of the film’s setting, and family-friendly design, Belle’s Quest offers a gentler alternative to typical action platformers on the Genesis. It’s a solid choice for fans of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast or players looking for a lighter, exploration-focused adventure from the 16-bit era.
