In Donkey Kong Country for the Game Boy Advance, you join the powerful Donkey Kong and his agile nephew Diddy on a quest to reclaim their stolen banana hoard from the villainous King K. Rool. The journey spans the diverse biomes of Donkey Kong Island, from the lush foliage of the jungle to high-speed minecart tracks and the frigid, slippery peaks of Gorilla Glacier.
Gameplay retains the classic tag-team platforming while adding exclusive portable content, most notably the ability to save your progress anywhere. This version introduces the Scrapbook, where you collect hidden camera icons to unlock character artwork, and features unique minigames like Funky’s Fishing and Candy’s Dance Studio. For veterans, completing the game unlocks Hero Mode, a punishing challenge where you play exclusively as Diddy without the help of DK or mid-level checkpoints.
