Eternal Eyes - PlayStation is a tactical role-playing game set in a fantasy world filled with magic, ancient ruins, and mysterious creatures known as Puppets. Players follow Luke, a young hero who becomes involved in a conflict surrounding powerful magical forces and a threat that could upset the balance of the world.
Gameplay takes place on grid-based battlefields where positioning, movement range, and character abilities play an important role in each encounter. Players fight alongside collectible Puppets that can be summoned, trained, and strengthened over time, giving the game a creature-focused progression system alongside its traditional strategy RPG mechanics. Different Puppets offer their own abilities and combat roles, encouraging experimentation when building a party.
Developed by TamTam and published in North America by Crave Entertainment in 2000, Eternal Eyes combines tactical combat with monster collection and character development. Its colorful anime-inspired presentation, grid-based battles, and emphasis on raising magical companions give it a distinctive identity within the original PlayStation’s RPG library, making it an appealing choice for strategy fans and collectors.
