Description

EyeToy: AntiGrav for PlayStation 2 is a futuristic hoverboard racing game built specifically around the EyeToy camera. Instead of relying on a standard controller for movement, this PS2 release uses body motion to steer, lean, and perform actions, giving it a very different feel from traditional racing or boarding games on the system. It stands out in the PlayStation 2 library as one of the more ambitious EyeToy games and one of the clearest examples of motion-controlled gameplay on PS2.

Gameplay centers on racing and trick-based challenges across sci-fi tracks while using your body to guide your rider, dodge obstacles, and stay balanced at high speed. The hoverboard setup gives the game a smooth, arcade-style sense of movement, while different event types help it feel more like a full standalone game than a simple EyeToy minigame collection. That combination of futuristic presentation, physical input, and score-driven replay value gives EyeToy: AntiGrav a distinct identity among PlayStation 2 party and sports titles.

For PlayStation 2 owners, EyeToy: AntiGrav is a notable later-era EyeToy release and an easy recommendation for collectors interested in unusual PS2 hardware experiences. Its motion-controlled hoverboarding, arcade pacing, and dedicated EyeToy design make it especially appealing to fans of experimental console games from the mid-2000s. It is a solid pick for players building out a PlayStation 2 library with distinctive peripheral-based titles and offbeat racing games.

Best Hoverboard racing game of the future that never arrived.

I have played Eyetoy Antigrav, and ever since I watched The Jetsons with Judy Jetson on a hoverboard and later Back to the Future 2 with Marty on a hoverboard and even Treasure Planet and Pinocchio 3000. I have always wanted to play a hoverboard game which you can do in Back to the Future 2 and 3 NES, Mega Man 2 and 3, Streak: Hoverboard Racing PS1, Reboot PS1 and the Treasure Planet PS2 version.

Now you can use an eyetoy camera which is very limited to a small handful of games. Once you can get the lighting correct, you can use your hands and head to control your character on a hoverboard and do hover trick style and get points. You have to dodge flying car traffic jams similar to Beambreakers PC game which has flying cars that you would see in The Fifth Element movie or Star Wars movie.

This game can be frustrating at times if you run out of time or don't get enough points or don't get first place. But anyways there's 5 levels and flying hovercars everywhere and holographic ads and I like how beautiful this hover age city is. Sadly we do not have flying hovercars or hoverboards which I'm still waiting for or holographic videos, I may not live to see the hover age come true as I tried to build a hoverboard my self for 15 years an aircushion, ducted fan, maglev and zipline hoverboard before I gave up building one. I hope one day I can get to ride a hoverboard or hovercar before I get very old.

Anyways this is one of the best face and hand capture game ever, even if the Eyetoy camera is gimmicky this is the best hover age game of all time and should win a golden disc award for best scenery, best gameplay, best techno music. If you see this game, buy it, even if you hoverboard people are never going to ride a back to the future hoverboard, you should buy this PS2 game and keep the hoverboard, hovercar and hologram dream alive.
