Description
EyePet - PlayStation 3 is an interactive virtual pet game that uses the PlayStation Eye camera to place a playful computer-generated creature into the player’s real-world surroundings. Players can see themselves on screen alongside their EyePet, then interact with it through movement, gestures, toys, and other activities designed to create the feeling of caring for a pet in the room.
Gameplay includes feeding, washing, playing with, and customizing the EyePet while completing a variety of challenges and mini-games. The camera tracks the player’s actions so the pet can react to movement and objects within the play area. Players can also draw certain items that are transformed into virtual objects for the EyePet to interact with, while clothing and appearance options allow the pet to be personalized over time.
Developed by London Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, EyePet was released for PlayStation 3 beginning in 2009. A compatible PlayStation Eye camera is required for gameplay. Its augmented-reality presentation, virtual-pet interaction, customization, and family-friendly activities make it a distinctive addition to a PlayStation 3 collection.
