Description
Far Cry 3 - Xbox 360 is an open-world first-person shooter set across the tropical Rook Islands. Players take control of Jason Brody, a vacationer forced into a violent struggle for survival after he and his friends are captured by pirates led by the unpredictable Vaas Montenegro. Jason must rescue his friends while becoming increasingly involved in the conflict consuming the islands.
Gameplay combines gunfights, stealth, exploration, hunting, and vehicle travel across a large open environment. Players can capture enemy outposts, climb radio towers to reveal portions of the map, hunt wildlife for crafting materials, and unlock new abilities through skill trees. Missions can often be approached quietly using suppressed weapons and takedowns or through direct combat with firearms, explosives, and vehicles.
Developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft in 2012, Far Cry 3 became a major entry in the series and helped establish many of the open-world systems used by later Far Cry games. Its memorable villains, flexible combat, progression systems, exploration, and tropical setting make it a standout shooter for Xbox 360 fans and collectors.
