Kartia: The Word of Fate - PlayStation is a tactical role-playing game set in a fantasy world where magical cards known as Kartia can create weapons, creatures, and other objects. The story is told through two interconnected campaigns, following Toxa and Lacryma as they become involved in conflicts surrounding powerful Kartia, religious institutions, political tensions, and threats that could reshape their world.
Gameplay combines grid-based tactical battles with character progression and resource management. Players use different types of Kartia to summon Phantom creatures and create equipment, then position units carefully across battlefields to take advantage of terrain, attack ranges, and enemy weaknesses. Each campaign features its own cast and perspective, with the two stories overlapping and revealing different sides of the larger conflict.
