Minority Report: Everybody Runs - Xbox is a third-person action game based on the 2002 science-fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg and inspired by Philip K. Dick's short story. Set in a futuristic Washington, D.C., where crimes are predicted before they happen, the game follows PreCrime officer John Anderton as he becomes the target of the very system he serves. Players must fight their way through heavily guarded locations while uncovering a conspiracy surrounding the PreCrime program.
Gameplay combines hand-to-hand combat, shooting, and environmental interaction across a series of action-packed missions. Players can punch, kick, grapple, and throw enemies into surrounding objects, using the game's physics-based combat system to their advantage. Futuristic weapons and gadgets provide additional ways to overcome security forces and other opponents. Levels feature destructible objects, interactive environments, and opportunities to use the surroundings during combat.
Released in 2002 and developed by Treyarch, Minority Report: Everybody Runs brings the film's futuristic technology and distinctive setting to the original Xbox. Its emphasis on interactive environments, exaggerated combat physics, and science-fiction action makes it an interesting example of early 2000s movie-based video games and a distinctive addition to an original Xbox collection.
