Mortal Kombat 4 - Nintendo 64 is a one-on-one fighting game that brings the long-running series into fully 3D arenas while retaining its signature mix of martial arts, supernatural abilities, and brutal finishing moves. Fighters including Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Raiden, and newcomers such as Quan Chi and Shinnok compete in a story centered on Shinnok’s return and his assault on the realms.
Gameplay combines traditional punches, kicks, special moves, combos, and Fatalities with new features such as sidestepping in 3D environments and character-specific weapons. Players can battle through arcade-style ladders against computer-controlled opponents or compete locally against another player. Interactive stages, fast-paced combat, and the series’ familiar finishing moves give the Nintendo 64 version a distinctive blend of classic Mortal Kombat mechanics and early 3D fighting design.
Developed and published by Midway in 1998, Mortal Kombat 4 was the first main entry in the series to use 3D polygonal graphics. Its expanded roster, weapon system, recognizable characters, and competitive local multiplayer make it an appealing choice for Mortal Kombat fans and Nintendo 64 collectors.
