Developed by EA Canada and published by EA Sports, the game features all 29 NBA teams, official players, and arenas from the 2002–03 season, allowing fans to experience the excitement of professional basketball with improved controls, smarter AI, and enhanced player animations.
Take the court with NBA superstars including Jason Kidd, Tim Duncan, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson, Tracy McGrady, Kevin Garnett, Vince Carter, Dirk Nowitzki, and many more. Every player is modeled with unique ratings and signature playstyles, bringing the league's biggest stars to life on the hardwood.
Choose from multiple game modes including Exhibition, Season, Playoffs, Franchise, One-on-One, and Practice. Franchise Mode lets you build a championship contender by managing rosters, making trades, signing free agents, and guiding your team through multiple NBA seasons. Whether you're chasing an NBA title or rebuilding a struggling franchise, every decision helps shape your team's future.
NBA Live 2003 introduces refined dribbling controls, improved passing, smoother animations, and more responsive defense, giving players greater control on both ends of the court. Signature dunks, alley-oops, fast breaks, and clutch three-pointers recreate the excitement of real NBA action, while local multiplayer lets friends compete head-to-head for bragging rights.
Featuring authentic commentary, realistic arena presentation, and engaging gameplay, NBA Live 2003 remains one of the standout basketball games of the early Xbox era. Its combination of accessible controls, deep franchise management, and competitive multiplayer makes it a great addition to any original Xbox sports game collection.
