New Nintendo 3DS XL System - Pikachu Yellow Edition combines the larger-screen New Nintendo 3DS XL hardware with a bright yellow Pikachu-themed design. The system features Pikachu artwork across the exterior shell, making it one of the more recognizable special-edition models in the Nintendo 3DS family while retaining the upgraded performance and controls of the “New” hardware revision.

The New Nintendo 3DS XL includes improved processing power, built-in NFC support for amiibo, a C Stick for additional camera and control options, and extra ZL and ZR shoulder buttons. Its enhanced 3D technology uses face tracking to help maintain the stereoscopic effect from a wider range of viewing angles, while the larger upper and lower screens provide more display space than standard-size 3DS models.

The system plays Nintendo 3DS games as well as most Nintendo DS titles through backward compatibility. It also supports software and features designed specifically for the New Nintendo 3DS hardware, including select enhanced games and applications. The Pikachu Yellow Edition offers the same New Nintendo 3DS XL functionality in a distinctive Pokémon-themed design aimed at both players and collectors.
