Description
Description
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City - Xbox 360 is a squad-based third-person shooter set during the Raccoon City outbreak depicted in Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3. Players join the Umbrella Security Service’s elite Wolfpack unit, tasked with destroying evidence of the corporation’s involvement while fighting zombies, mutated creatures, and opposing military forces throughout the infected city.
Gameplay emphasizes team-based shooting rather than the traditional survival-horror style of earlier Resident Evil games. Players choose from specialists with different abilities, including assault, surveillance, medicine, demolition, and stealth-focused skills. Missions feature firefights against U.S. government forces alongside encounters with zombies and Bio-Organic Weapons, creating battles where multiple factions can clash at once. The campaign was designed for solo play with AI teammates or cooperative multiplayer, while competitive modes originally offered additional online battles.
Developed by Slant Six Games and published by Capcom in 2012, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City presents an alternate perspective on familiar events and characters from the series. Its squad mechanics, action-heavy combat, recognizable Raccoon City setting, and connection to classic Resident Evil storylines make it an interesting choice for series fans and Xbox 360 collectors.
