Description
Description
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier for Nintendo DS is a bold and stylish RPG that fuses over-the-top anime storytelling, explosive turn-based combat, and crossover characters from across the Super Robot Wars universe. Developed by Monolith Soft and Banpresto, this spin-off title takes the tactical series into pure RPG territory, offering a fast-paced and flashy experience that stands out from the rest of the franchise.
You play as Haken Browning, a spacefaring bounty hunter with a sharp tongue and a fondness for danger. Alongside a diverse cast of allies—including original characters and guest appearances from franchises like Xenosaga—you’ll travel across the Endless Frontier, a dimension-hopping realm where science fiction and fantasy collide. Expect giant mechs, androids, magical creatures, and plenty of fourth-wall-breaking humor.
Combat in Endless Frontier is turn-based but action-driven. Battles emphasize timing and combo execution, allowing you to juggle enemies in midair using character-specific skills and team-up attacks. The system rewards experimentation and precision, turning each encounter into a mini spectacle of damage-dealing flair. Unlike traditional Super Robot Wars games, this title leans heavily on character interactions and dynamic combat rather than grid-based strategy.
Visually, the game impresses with large, expressive character sprites, fluid attack animations, and a vibrant UI. The writing mixes parody and sincerity, poking fun at anime tropes while still delivering a compelling multiverse story. A robust progression system lets you customize your team’s skills, equipment, and synergy over the course of your journey.
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier is perfect for fans of anime-style RPGs, those looking for a break from traditional tactics, or anyone who enjoys high-energy battles and crossover chaos on the Nintendo DS.
