Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! - Nintendo 64 is a 3D platforming adventure based on Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 2. Players control Buzz Lightyear as he travels through familiar locations from the film in search of Woody, who has been stolen by toy collector Al McWhiggin. The game recreates environments such as Andy’s house, Al’s Toy Barn, and the airport from a toy-sized perspective.
Gameplay combines platforming, exploration, combat, and collectible hunting across a series of open-ended stages. Buzz can jump, climb, fire his laser, use special abilities, and complete missions for characters including Hamm, Rex, Slinky Dog, and Mr. Potato Head. Players collect Pizza Planet Tokens by completing objectives, with enough tokens required to unlock new levels and progress through the adventure.
