Description
Description
Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! - Nintendo 64 is a 3D platforming adventure based on Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 2. Players control Buzz Lightyear as he travels through familiar locations from the film in search of Woody, who has been stolen by toy collector Al McWhiggin. The game recreates environments such as Andy’s house, Al’s Toy Barn, and the airport from a toy-sized perspective.
Gameplay combines platforming, exploration, combat, and collectible hunting across a series of open-ended stages. Buzz can jump, climb, fire his laser, use special abilities, and complete missions for characters including Hamm, Rex, Slinky Dog, and Mr. Potato Head. Players collect Pizza Planet Tokens by completing objectives, with enough tokens required to unlock new levels and progress through the adventure.
Developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by Activision in 1999, Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! became one of the more memorable licensed platformers of the Nintendo 64 era. Its recognizable movie locations, varied objectives, and collectible-focused gameplay make it an appealing choice for Pixar fans, 3D platformer enthusiasts, and collectors building a Nintendo 64 library.
