Set thousands of years in the future, humanity has spread across the stars after abandoning Earth. Experience a deep, story-driven adventure featuring strategic turn-based combat, customizable character progression, and cinematic storytelling. Assemble a party of memorable characters, exploit enemy weaknesses using the game's Boost and Ether systems, and explore futuristic cities, research facilities, and massive starships while uncovering secrets tied to the mysterious Zohar artifact and the fate of humanity.
Developed by Monolith Soft and published by Namco in 2003, Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht was created by Tetsuya Takahashi as a spiritual successor to Xenogears. Renowned for its philosophical themes, richly detailed universe, and movie-quality cutscenes, it established one of the PlayStation 2's most celebrated RPG series and laid the foundation for the broader Xeno franchise.
